A unique goby with two large eyespots on its dorsal fins that it raises to mimic a crab when threatened. Sifts sand constantly and hops along the bottom in a charming fashion.

Care Notes
Requires a fine sand bed for sifting. Difficult to feed — needs a tank with a healthy microfauna population. Best kept in pairs. May starve in sterile tanks.
Feeding
Live copepods, enriched brine shrimp, and finely minced mysis. Needs a refugium-fed tank for long-term success.
